Bible Verses to Ease the Troubled Spirit

Face it. Life is hard at times. Some days, weeks, months, and even years seem like everything and everyone is against you. You feel all alone with no one or no place to turn to for comfort. Fret not. There is comfort to be found in God's Word. Here are five inspirational Bible verses that have helped me out during those times of despair.

Loss

Loss is an inevitability of life. Mainly because as sure as we take our first breath there is guaranteed to be a last one. When we love others whether blood family, friends or spouses we are going to go through the pain of loss if we live long enough. It doesn't seem fair especially when we lose someone we love tragically or if they had to suffer a long battle with an illness that took them away from us. The thing that can make loss worse for some of us is trying to deal with it in a way that will make other people happy instead of going through the emotional process until we get to a place of healing for ourselves.

Don't Delight in the Despair of Others

We are living in very hard economic times, not just in the United States but the World. With such hard times comes events that bring hardship and despair on an individual basis. When hard times come upon a person or the threat of unemployment comes to someone we know, we should not wish for it to happen or rejoice in it.
