SEE THE BLESSING OF MINISTERING RATHER THAN LEADING

Throughout history the men and women who answered the higher calling of GOD have come under attack for their message and walk not always matching up. I am not called to be a prophet, priest, pastor or any leader. However, I am answering the call that all believers are called to do which is minister to others. While I feel being called to that higher purpose of being a leader is a great and blessed thing. I have to be honest in saying that I am glad this is not a calling GOD has placed on my life.

I say this because I still struggle with a lot worldly things and issues of the flesh. For me to be true to that higher calling, you have to currently live a life that is beyond reproach. Which is why leaders catch so much -- dare I say it, HELL -- when they make the same mistakes that you and I do. I am not saying that when we answer the believer's call to minister to others that we can just do what we want and live a lukewarm life. Rather I am saying that as we minister there is room for us to continue to grow as we help others grow in the Lord. We find inspiration when we hand out GOD-given inspiration to others. As we study to show ourselves approved, we become more aware of who we belong to and who we are as people. As we get closer to GOD by helping others get closer to Him as well, we become more and more like Him. Those things we currently struggle with eventually cease to be an issue anymore because we will have lost our taste for them.

As we press forward in this walk to trim the fat of sin and disobedience from our lives, our spirits will begin to resemble the image in which they were created. (Gen 1:27)
