Manna for Our Spirit

God rained down manna from heaven to feed the Israelites while in the wilderness. Did you realize He still supplies us with manna?

That manna is His Word. When we read it, study it, journey through it we consume and digest it. It is our spiritual bread. It is that substance Moses spoke of in Deuteronomy 8:3:
He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.(NIV)

It is good to listen to your clergy give a sermon but we need to take in manna for ourselves. We do that by reading the Bible which contains God's Word and Laws.

Therefore I encourage you to get your daily fill of manna so your spirit may be fed each day the way you feed your body.

  1. The manna story is so very inspiring and has many lessons for mankind, not the least of which is gratitude.
